John Craft was born in 1723 in Dutchess County, New York and died at Brady’s Fort, Pennsylvania before 1808. He is the great great grandson of Griffen and Alice Craft who came from England to the Massachusetts Bay Colony with the Winthrop Fleet in 1630. John and Sarah (Youngman) Craft had nine children. Their descendants, the authors of this publication, currently live in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Oregon, Iowa, Utah and other western states.
